That Sacred Time of Year

The Christmas season is a sacred time of year. Not only was the Son of God born, but our own spirit of love is re-born each December.
We focus on tinsel and bobbles, on lights and gifts, and on all the stuff that man can provide in their quest to make as much  money as possible. Why do we run from the true meaning of Christmas?
Sometimes it seems that people seek love in all the wrong places, then reject the true love that God offers. Perhaps people are afraid to embrace love for fear of losing control over their emotions.
Wouldn't it be life-changing to lose oneself to Love during this time of year? Love came down over 2000 years ago. We celebrate His birthday in many ways. Let the lights shine to brighten the stable/cave where He was born. Let the colorful bulbs bring joy to His birthday party. Let the gifts given to others re-live the generosity of the magi.
Most of all, give love, so that Love will be replenished in our hearts during this Christmas season.

Precious Lord, this is your holy time of year. May we enter into your kingdom of love with joy and blessed Christmas carols. Forgive us for mistaking your birthday for our own party. It is you we celebrate. Fill our hearts again with your love, that we may press on next year with enough love to share with others. In the name of your son, Jesus we pray.  Amen

Begin Again - Continue

"Thou shall not steal"

Dear readers, my previous Prayer Therapy blog was hacked. I can't get into it.  The same is true of my blog, Doris Gaines Rapp. It had even higher stats.
Right now, my writing load is huge. But, I will get back to you shortly. Let me know you're out there.
Many blessings to you all.
Let us pray for all those who steal another's work.

"Father, God, everything you touch is blessed because you alone are holy. May all that you desire for me come to be, just as those in Heaven are covered with your blessings. For today, I lift up hackers and those who steal the words you give to your children. Forgive me when I fail to see the pain they are in. Let me not be tempted to be angry or seek revenge, for I live under the umbrella of your love. In the precious name of Jesus I pray."
Amen
